Nice, tranquil lake in Belgium. Flat water and nice conditions for a smooth ride in a green environment. You can park at Zwarte-Brugstraat Parking lot. Then you walk to the water (200 meters) accross the bridge over the small channel. In front of the restaurant ‘t Vloot you can get into the water straight off the green grass.
Because of its particular shape, the lake is also called “The Gun Shaped Lake” by locals. It’s 2,8 kilometers long and about 200 meters wide on the least wide part, about 2 kms on the larger part and when the water is on it’s highest levels.
To access the area you have to be a member or you can buy a day ticket.
Basically you can ride here with any wind conditions over 10-12 knots.
