The Schokkerhaven is a beautiful wingfoil spot in the region, just a half-hour drive from Zwolle. This location offers ideal conditions for both beginners and advanced riders. In westerly winds, the wave action offers challenges to experienced wingfoilers, while winds from other directions or lesser winds offer perfect opportunities for beginners. For added safety in sudden increasing winds, surfers can swerve to the sheltered bay.
Schokkerhaven is equipped with excellent facilities such as sufficient depth for foiling and an easily accessible parking lot. Although in strong westerly winds the spot is not recommended for beginners without an instructor’s guidance, the location does offer great flexibility thanks to the variety of wind directions where a boat can be used for support.
Wing foilers should, however, remain alert for other boating traffic in the area. Schokkerhaven is a good destination for any wingfoil enthusiast looking for a reliable and challenging location.
