Wingfoil Agios Nikolaos is very nice. Agios Nikolaos a small town at the seashore. There is a thermal, very stable wind, that you can use in your benefit. There is a lagoon on the one side where you find very shallow and flat water, and an open water area on the other side where you can have a good ride. Agios Nikolaos, like much of Crete, enjoys a Mediterranean climate. This means that the area typically experiences hot, dry summers and mild, wetter winters.

During the summer months, Agios Nikolaos can be influenced by the Meltemi winds. These are strong, dry north-northeastern winds common in the Aegean Sea, particularly from mid-May to late September. The Meltemi winds can provide excellent conditions for wind-driven water sports like windsurfing, kitesurfing, and wingfoiling.
