Alton Water Reservoir

This reservoir has served so many of us learning and progressing in Wingfoiling- Glenn from Winging It Watersports meets clients there for lessons and also still uses it personally when the wind is not good for coastal local beaches –
The rigging area is grass and has a few tie down points to help you secure your wing while on land. The reservoir can be used in any wind direction, but the best directions are West, North West, East & North East- these directions will see cross shore & cross onshore winds.
The venue has excellent changing facilities, a cafe and on water rescue / support. The reservoir is owned by a water company and so a daily launch fee or membership has to be paid.
The water users are all very friendly and actively support each other.
