Ria de Alvor is a lagoon located between Alvor and Lagos. Ria de Alvor is sheltered from ocean waves and offers flat/shallow water conditions and consistent wind. Therefore it is an excellent spot for beginners and advanced wingfoilers.

The most consistent winds are in the summer in the early afternoon till sunset. It's the Nortada offshore wind and will reach very often up to 20+ knots. The best wind directions for the lagoon are North and Northwest and West and Southwest as the most stable light winds during the midday breeze.
