Top location in Holland, because of the constant winds of Zeeland. With winds coming from north and northeasterly wind, this location is great, especially for beginners when it’s 12-15 knots. From 15 knots up you can have a great ride for advanced riders as well. You can park for free at the whole of the dam. Offshore, there is a sandbar at about 5 kilometers offshore, which keeps most of the waves away. The whole beach was designated as a beach for water activities, which gives water sports enthusiasts priority over sunbathers. Stay out of the area marked with yellow buoys, as it marks the area for swimmers.
The northern side is great for wingfoil. Brouwersdam gives you direct access to the open sea. You’ll find a sandy beach where you can easily launch your wing and foil. The area is spacious, allowing for free movement and exciting rides. Advanced riders can truly make the most of these conditions.

The sea side has a mixture of sea waves and chop which has a long distance to build up. The nicer spot nearby is 1 km northeast of the lighthouse, next to the sandbar at low and mid tide. ( At high tide too much current and complex waves).
