How to get there
- By car: you can drive from Innsbruck down the majestic Brenner Pass, you can drive from Milan up to the lake.
- By airplane: Lake Garda doesn’t have its own airport, the nearest airport to fly to is Verona. But you could also consider flying to Milan Bergamo or Milan Linate, both of which are under two hours drive from most towns on the lake.
Alternatives: lake Como
While Lake Garda is a great location for wing foiling, there are definitely alternatives in Italy. Lake Como, especially the northern area, is a very good one. It may not have as many windy days as Lake Garda but it’s very wind certain as well. As long as the sky is clear, the venturi-effect is to be found at lake Como almost every day.
