Some riders love data. It makes the ride so much cooler if you can look back to where you where having that great session, how many miles or kilometers you covered, what your average and total speed was, and what path you took. Sometimes, data gives you very surprising insights. For example, you look at your GPS data and you find out that you turn out to turn around almost on the exact same spot while you are 2 miles out on the sea! These different GPS Watch Wingfoil options are out there.
If you find the right watch, you have all data you want to see, like when using the Polar Grit X. Although it does not have a designated Wingfoil Sport profile, if you select Windsurfing or Other Watersports, it will give you more than enough data about your session. The data you can see about your wingfoil session include duration, distance, average and max heart rate, total calories burnt and divided in carbs, protein and fat, average and max speed and a very cool maps interface. On the Polar website, there is even a cool movie available from every session.

Wing foil GPS watch and app compatibility
One of the cool things about GPS Watches for Wingfoiling and other (water)sports is that you can see the data of your session on the app and on the computer. You see the distance you covered, max and average speed, calories you burned through and so much more. For many riders, this motivates. They use the data so see progression in speed, heart rate, distance and so on.
As you see below, the Polar Grit X does not have a dedicated sport profile for Wing Foil so you can use Windsurf.
